A medium amber quart with extra-strong and sharp embossed lettering. This is the Hero jar variant without the Cross. Embossed on the base with the Hero date circle and mold number 183. A beautiful sparkling clean jar with a good whittled effect. Has a shallow open bubble inside and there is a thin flake running along the inner edge of the ground rim that is not quite detached. Also minor rim edge chipping. A great looking jar with very good embossing.

An original aqua quart "Crowleytown" Masons 1858 jar. Primitive cylindrical form with sharply squared base heel corners and a nearly flat base. The "TH" has a short line or single dot underscore. Shiny clean glass throughout with no damage or stains. The sheared and ground rim is rather rough, as is common for these early Crowleytown jars. Comes with an unlined "TRADE MARK SMS Co ALWAYS RELIABLE" lid with part of the impressed lettering on top still visible.

A yellow amber pint SAFETY jar, noticeably lighter in color than the usual pale orange amber these come in. Sparkling clean glass and comes with a matching yellow amber original glass lid embossed "PATENT APPLIED FOR". The ground rim has some flaking and one short ding as shown. Replica metal wire clip. The base has a "3". A great looking little pint.

Probably the finest example of this jar you will see. This honey amber colored half gallon displays very nice sharp embossed lettering and sparkling clean glass with a light whittled effect. The Hero Cross is unlettered. Good ground rim with minor edge flaking. On the base is the Hero date circle and "543". A gorgeous sharp example which is very tough to find in this series.

A strong green colored quart BALL STANDARD wax sealer which also displays some subtle amber swirling throughout. Sparkling glass with strong embossing. There is a thin chip under the outer ring, otherwise no damage or stains. The base has an embossed "V". A great looking jar that is actually a little darker in color than shown.

A medium amber quart with good strong and sharp embossing and sparkling clean glass. This is the scarce variant with the Hero Cross above "Masons". Ground rim has the usual minor edge flaking, and a tiny surface ding on the top edge. The base has the Hero date circle and a mold number "117".

An extremely scarce PINT+ sized "THE HERO" jar. Shiny glass with no damage or stains and displays a light whittled effect. The mouth shows strands of olive green glass embedded in the neck and threads area. The ground rim has roughness and flaking as shown. Comes with a glass lined zinc cap with a circle of dates and zinc band closure. The metal has some oxidation and pinholes, but solid throughout. On the base is embossed "CUNNINGHAMS & IHMSEN PITTSBURGH PA". There is a spot of haze on the center of the base. A great looking example in the extremely scarce pint+ size.

An amber quart "THE LEADER" (embossed in two lines) with sparkling glass and no damage or stains. Good thick ground rim with the usual inner edge flaking. Comes with the correct original 2-piece iron clamp assembly and original glass lid. On the base is "21". A great looking example in fine condition.

An aqua quart "ALL RIGHT" jar. Strong embossing on both sides and displays shiny clean glass with no damage or stains. The ground rim shows the normal edge flaking. Comes with a replica iron domed cap and appears to retain the original wire clamp. On the base is embossed a mold number "5" encircled by "PAT NOV 26 1867".

A quart TRADE MARK LIGHTNING jar in a lovely yellow amber color. Sparkling clean glass displays a nice whittled effect and good sharply raised embossing. The lid is an exact matching yellow amber color. No damage or stains throughout other than normal rim edge flaking. On the base is "PUTNAM 250". A great looking colored Lightning jar.

A quart MILLVILLE ATMOSPHERIC FRUIT JAR in a light sky blue tint. Noticeably more blue than the standard greenish aqua these are found in normally. The jar displays a light whittled effect also. A beautiful example that is in flawless condition throughout, which is rare to find in this series. The lid and mouth are both perfect with not so much as a nick. The lid is more of a blue-aqua color. The original cast iron yoke clamp is in fine shape also. The jar even retains the original sealing gasket still intact. On the base is a crude "6".

A medium amber quart with extremely heavy whittling to the glass. Also very strongly raised lettering and in sparkling clean condition throughout with no damage or stains. Has a white stone embedded in the glass in back but no radiations whatsoever. On the base is embossed "H62". A gorgeous example of this scarce amber Mason.

A very scarce variety, this clear quart is also a nice example with reasonably good embossing and shiny clean glass with no damage or stains. The ground rim has one small edge chip. Comes with a good lugged CFJCo zinc cap. On the base are two raised dots.

A quart "VAN VLIET IMPROVED" jar in an extremely rare (or singular) yellow green color. The glass displays some beautiful character with tons of seed bubbles and some swirling. There are also some very subtle amber swirls visible through the jar. The base of the jar has "feet" comprised of the 8 embossed letters "VAN VLIET". No damage or stains at all, other than a single thin flake on the ground rim (not quite detached). Original iron clamp assembly and original wire. The Van Vliet glass lid is more yellowish than the jar but looks very good on the jar. The base has an embossed mold number "13". I believe this is one of only two known colored Van Vliet jars. 

Ex: George McConnell, and still retains his inventory label which indicates he purchased the jar in 1977 for 200.00.
