A rare early odd-closured quart that is embossed "SURE". Nice seedy and crude glass character and in shiny clean condition. There is a chip off the ground rim as shown. Comes with the original glass lid, which has a thin flake off the inner edge. Reproduction wire clamp but it looks old. The base of the jar is embossed "PATD JUNE 21ST 1870". A great looking early jar and rarely seen for sale.
