This black purple colored midget pint is one of the Dream Color series of jars that were hand blown in 1971. The color is so dark that it's nearly impossible to see thru it even in the brightest light. The ground mouth has a chip out of it. Old repro metal cap.

A beautiful quart sized example with sharp embossing, brilliant glass, and in fine condition without damage or stains. The inner mouth is formed with two lugs to accept the lugged style stopper. Both mouth lugs are essentially perfect, which is rare. The stopper is a rare near-perfect example as well, with only a single flake on one of the bottom sloping ramps. Smooth base. A gorgeous example of this appealing early jar.

An SCA colored (light purple) quart embossed in an arch: "PERFECTION". The lettering is very sharply raised. Correct original glass lid with serrated ramps is also a light purple tint. An early applied mouth wax sealer quart in a strong light cobalt blue color. Embossed on the front in an arch: "STANDARD", and on the reverse heel: "W McC & Co". 832. Open Pontil FREE BLOWN F. & J. McKEE PITTSBURGH Quart

A clear free-blown quart with a pushed-in open pontil scarred base, and a formed mouth with a smooth ground finish. The glass displays a lovely swirled effect from top to bottom. Correct original glass lid with knob handle as shown. The lid has a similar ground finish on the bottom edge, and was made to seal against the mouth of the jar via surface tension, by merely applying water to the surfaces. The lid is embossed: "F & J McKEE PITTSBURGH PA". The edge of the mouth has tiny nicking from the original grinding process. The jar and lid are both in great shape without damage or stains.

An aqua gallon size promotional jar that was probably made for display the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition of 1876. Embossed in boldly-raised block lettering; "THE HERO". Shiny glass throughout with no damage or stains. Normal flaking of the ground rim edge. Comes with a replica metal 2-piece closure, a zinc band and brass insert. Base: "PATD NOV 26TH 1867" encircling: "BROOKE MOULD MAKER". Measures 12-1/2 inches in overall height, and 5-3/4 inches in diameter. An extremely scarce oversize jar that has rarely been seen for sale.

A medium amber quart shoulder seal jar embossed: "MASONS CFJCo PATENT NOV 30TH 1858". Note the diamond-shaped "O" in the monogram. This is the standard height version (Type II).
