1006. MASONS KEYSTONE Pat 1858 AMBER QUART
A medium to deep amber shoulder seal quart embossed: "MASONS (Keystone in a circle) PATENT NOV 30TH 1858". A beautiful specimen with strong embossing and great character that includes fine surface swirls that spiral around the body of the jar. No damage with the exception of flaking on the ground mouth and the surface fissure shown inside the neck (looks like a crack in the photo, but is not, as it only goes into about 1/4 the thickness of the glass). Comes with a great original Keystone zinc cap as shown. Base: "83". One of the finest possible examples of this rare and appealing jar.
This item is from the Darryl Pearson collection.
