This quart is embossed: "MASONS PATENT NOV 30TH 1858" and comes in an exceptional and appealing deep green color that is very unusual for an 1858 jar. The color is approaching (but is not) emerald green. Medium embossing. Shiny glass without damage, other than the usual edge roughness. Comes with a good early lettered zinc cap as shown. Base: a large "16".
