An aqua shoulder seal quart embossed: "MASON.S S PATENT NOV 30TH 1858" and on the base: "L&W" (for Lorenz & Wightman of Pittsburgh, Pa). Good embossing and shiny glass with no damage or stains throughout. The ground mouth has edge flaking. Comes with a good early lugged CFJCo zinc cap. An extremely scarce lettered Mason that has rarely been found for sale.
