Closure:  Original dome shaped glass lid and arched cast iron yoke clamp with thumbscrew. The clamp is very similar to the original, but is from a Moore's jar. The glass lid is in good shape, with two short cooling fissures in the bottom ring.

Appearance: sparkling glass with a light whittled effect

Condition:  the outer lip of the mouth has two small repaired chips that are very well done

Embossing:  strong

Base:  unmarked

Age:  1860's
