Closure: This jar is made with a different mouth finish than the usual version. Closure consists of a glass lid with a sealing rubber stretched around the neck. This rare variant was found without a closure and the previous collector located a glass lid that is similar to the original as described in the patent. Appearance: crude glass character with swirling throughout

Condition:  normal nicking on the ground mouth

Embossing:  light, the backside of the jar displays an embossed numeral "1"
