Closure:  Hollow blown glass stopper embossed "HALLERS PADT JAN 4 1870". The jar is a wide mouth version (2-3/4" inside diameter) and has a sheared & fire polished lip finish. The patent was held by Wm L Haller. View the patent here. The screw band is a replacement of the period.

Condition:  jar has no damage, stopper has a short reflective ding in the bottom surface
