Closure:  Original dome-shaped iron cap and original wire clamp. The cap is in solid shape with oxidation but no holes which is rare to find, and if you look closely, some of the lettering is still visible on the top of the cap.

Appearance:  sparkling glass

Condition:  the mouth has manufacturer's roughness and chipping all around, which is typical for this series, see photo

Embossing:  strong

Base: "PAT NOV 26 1867" encircling a "24"

Age:  c1870

Availability:  scarce especially with original closure
