A quart TRADE MARK LIGHTNING jar in an extra-dark reddish amber color. On a wall shelf the color displays as nearly black. In a window the deep reddish amber color is easily visible. Sparkling condition with no damage or stains throughout. Ground rim with the normal minor edge flaking. Original correct matching very dark amber glass lid and original metal clamp assembly that is very clean with no rust. On the base is embossed "PUTNAM 923".
