An aqua quart embossed in two lines of very sharply-raised block lettering: "A. STONE & Co. PHILADA". Beautiful sparkling glass with a seedy and whittly character. Black iron pontil scarred base, and a crude oversized applied groove ring mouth. The mouth is perfect without so much as a nick. No pot stones, no flashes, no open bubbles. A beautiful piece of early glass.
