An aqua quart embossed: "THE CHAMPION PAT AUG 31 1869". Good strong embossing. Correct original glass lid and original 3-piece iron yoke clamp assembly with round thumbscrew. The jar is in nice condition with no damage or stains. The ground rim has roughness all around from the making. The glass lid has a small chip on the bottom edge. The metal is in very nice clean shape with no rust. Base: "5".
