An aqua half gallon that is embossed on the front in 4 lines of block lettering: "THE PARAGON VALVE JAR PATd APRIL 19TH 1870". And on the base: "McE & Co 1". Sparkling glass with no damage or stains. Appears to retain the correct original tall unmarked glass lid but it has no side notches. Original spring wire in the neck, and a replica metal band. A great looking example of this very scarce old jar.
