A dark amber quart shoulder seal jar embossed: "MASONS CFJCo PATENT NOV 30TH 1858". Note the unusual extra-wide monogram style. Shiny glass without damage or stains. The ground rim has edge flaking with one flake running along the inner edge not quite detached. Base: "XF 406". A great looking and scarce colored Mason jar.
