Color:  COBALT BLUE with some darker blue swirl threads

Closure:  grooved ring wax sealer mouth finish and comes with an early unmarked tin cap

Appearance: shiny glass

Condition:  repairs to the outer ring

Embossing:  base only

Base: "FCGCo"

Age:  late 1800's

Availability:  Rare. This particular jar was from Frank Peters collection and is illustrated on the cover of his fruit jar book as shown. Comes with a copy of the book, and a hand-written letter from Frank to the collector to whom he later sold the jar in 1991.
