Closure:  Original cast iron ring with clear lettering and retaining the original gutta percha liner. The liner itself is in great shape, with an added layer of wax-like material on top that is alligatored and could be removed. The cast iron ring has a casting flaw  (crack) in one side as shown.

Condition:  minor chipping of the ground mouth
