A clear quart with very sharp and strong embossing that reads: "(Cross) MASONS CFJCo PATENT NOV 30TH 1858". Sparkling glass without damage or stains with the exception of the ground rim which has considerable flaking and bruising along the top edge. Base: unmarked. This jar has been notorious for weak embossing, but this example is one of the sharpest embossed you are likely to find.
