A deep rich aqua colored quart that is embossed on the front in 4 lines of block lettering: "NEWMANS PATENT DEC 20TH 1859". Shiny glass without damage or stains, with the exception of having a rough ground rim as shown. Replica metal cap. Base: unmarked. A great looking and rare early jar in a good strong color.
