A quart Hero Mason in an unusual darker shade of amber. Good embossing and shiny glass with no damage or stains. Normal roughness on the ground rim edge. The color is easily a shade or two darker than the typical color for these. Embossed on the base with the Hero date circle and "587". A good scarce colored 1858 jar.

An 1860's-era quart applied mouth stopper jar that looks very much like an unembossed version of the quart Ladies Favorite (stopper version) jar. In fact when first found the jar retained the original 2-inch Willoughby stopple (removed by the previous collector and not included). Good gloppy applied ring collar mouth and a smooth base. Shiny glass with a good light whittled effect and no damage or stains other than one tiny chip on the outer ring.

A dark amber half gallon "TRADE MARK LIGHTNING". Fine condition with shiny glass and good strong embossing. No damage or stains other than the usual minor rim edge flaking. Comes with the exact matching correct original glass lid and original wire bail closure in very clean shape with no rust. On the base is "PUTNAM 422". A great looking Lightning jar in a good deep & dark amber color.

A good strong Lime Green colored Hero Mason half gallon. A beautiful jar with strong and crisp embossing and sparkling clean glass with some nice character with seed bubbles and light whittle. A medium amber quart "THE LEADER" (in two lines). Beautiful glass character with a brilliant luster and a heavily whittled appearance and also full of seed bubbles. Good strong embossing and no damage or stains. Sheared and never-ground rim (that's unusual). Correct original glass lid and a replica metal clamp. On the base is "25". A great looking old jar.

A clear midget pint Mason with an embossed "Tudor Rose" or snowflake emblem on the back. An exceptionally nice example with a heavily whittled appearance all over. Good sharp embossing on both sides, which can be tough to find in this series. Sparkling condition throughout with no damage or stains. Good ground rim with minor flaking. Comes with the nice correct original disk immerser cap as shown. Embossed on the base "A2".

An unusual Lightning style half gallon that is embossed only on the base "PUTNAM 197". Comes in a good distinctive color of olive-toned yellow. The glass displays some nice character with seed bubbles and light whittle. Sparkling glass throughout with no damage or stains. Excellent ground rim with very little flaking. Correct exact matching glass lid and original wire bail closure in nice clean shape. An extremely scarce Lighting style jar.

An amber half gallon Mason with an embossed Keystone in a circle. An exceptionally fine example in having well-raised embossed lettering, which is the rare exception for this jar in half gallon size. Sparkling clean glass throughout with no damage or stains other than some very minimal ground rim flaking. Comes with a very nice correct original Keystone zinc cap. On the base is "23". A great looking early Mason jar and the finest example.

A quart Mason with the CFJ logo in a good distinct light olive green color. The embossing is light to medium in strength. Unusual base with a heavily-raised Christian Cross that was added by a glass-house worker, below the mold number "G109". Sparkling glass with no damage or stains. Normal minor rim edge flaking.

A dark green half gallon Petal Jar that is a superb example. Pushed-in iron pontil scarred base and a heavy applied ring collar mouth. The jar displays a lovely whittled effect and is in beautiful condition with no damage or stains. There is one small surface bubble on the side as shown, this is not a broken bubble. No damage, no pot stones, no nicks, no flashes, no problems at all. Original attic luster and retains the original wax-covered cork stopper. Ex: Al Vignon collection.

An early applied top aqua wax sealer half gallon embossed on the front with a peened out arch over "SAN FRANCISCO GLASS WORKS". The peened-out area represents the removal of the previous embossing "CUTTING & Co". Sparkling condition with no damage or stains of any kind. The applied ring mouth is perfect with not even a nick (has one gloppy spot). Unmarked base. A choice example of this scarce early Western jar.

A beautiful example of this extremely scarce variant that is rarely seen for sale.

A rare and gorgeous color for a pint Lightning jar.

An aqua half pint "COHANSEY" jar. On the reverse side is an oval slug plate impression as shown. Sparkling glass throughout with no damage or stains. Ground rim has one small chip as shown. The jar also displays a nice light whittled effect in the lower half. Correct original glass lid and circular wire clamp in nice shape with nice clean metal. The base has a "2". A highly appealing little jar and a nice example.

A Hero Mason half gallon in a gorgeous color of medium olive green. Also displays some subtle amber swirling throughout. A fantastic example with the strongest embossing and sparkling clean glass in attic-found condition. No damage or stains including a good ground rim with very little flaking. There are a couple of small open bubbles inside the neck as shown. On the base is the Hero date circle and mold number "315". An outstanding Hero Mason jar in a great color.
