682. GLOBE Green w/ AMBER SWIRLS Pint

Start Date: 12/01/2008
End Date: 12/11/2008
Buyer: Fruit_Jar
Price: $500.00

A pale yellow-green pint GLOBE jar with subtle amber swirling. Clean glass without damage or stains. Perfect ground rim. The yellow green lid is a close color match. There's a repair to the metal neck band as shown. Although the original metal closures are extremely common and easy to replace, I'm leaving it just as is, because it's part of the history of this uniquely colored Globe.

In another type of jar, like an 1858 for example, this color would not be considered a great color, but in a pint Globe it is just extremely unusual to see. Phil had numerous offers to buy the jar over the years, but never let it go.
