A blue-aqua half pint embossed on the front "COHANSEY" in an arch and on the reverse side with an oval-shaped slug plate impression. A brilliant example with no damage or stains, including an excellent ground rim with very little nicking. Comes with a flawless original closure, with extra-clean metal and a perfect glass lid. An early aqua quart with a smooth base and an applied ring collar mouth to accept the hollow-blown glass stopper. On top of the stopper is embossed: "KLINES PATENT OCT 27 63". The bottom of the stopper is made with an opening for a juice hole. The mouth of the jar even retains the original gasket, which is rare to find. Nice condition throughout with seedy glass character and no damage or stains. Base: "1".

An aqua quart embossed "J. C. BAKER'S PATENT AUG 14 1860". Shiny glass with some minor damage. There is a short fissure in the mouth as shown, that is hard to notice. On the back is an inside open bubble and next to it a very faint crow's foot type ding. A great looking jar for display nonetheless. Replica metal closure. Base: unmarked.

An exceptionally gorgeous quart-sized example with whittled glass as well as fine surface swirls spiraling around the jar from top to bottom. Extra strong embossing and shiny glass without damage or stains. Normal minor edge flaking of the ground rim. Correct original metal clamp and original matching glass lid. Base: "70". Globe jars with good glass character are rarely seen, and this is one of the finest.

An aqua quart embossed on the front in a circular arrangement: "IMPROVED STANDARD PATENTED APRIL 17TH 1888". Sparkling glass without damage or stains. Has a thin flake on the inner mouth, not quite detached. Unusual wax sealer mouth style with a ground lip finish and made for a detachable metal ring to serve as the outer mouth. Comes with an early tin cap. The metal ring is a fine old replica.

This rich olive yellow half gallon is one of the deepest colored examples we've seen from this mold. Embossed on the front "MASONS PATENT NOV 30TH 1858" and on the base "WCD 57". The first two lines of embossing are weaker than the rest. Beautiful attic condition with no damage or stains. Normal flaking of the ground rim. The base marking was for the W.C. DePauw Co of New Albany, Indiana. A great looking colored 1858 jar.

A deep brown amber or "beer bottle amber" shoulder seal quart embossed "BALL (3L loop) MASON". A strong embossed example in beautiful condition with no damage or stains. The smooth mouth finish is perfect. There are deeper subtle swirls of amber visible when held to a light or window. Base: "VI". A great looking Ball jar in an extremely rare color.

An aqua quart with some great crude glass character. Embossed in fully raised lettering: "ECONOMY SEALER PATd SEPt 15TH 1885". Clean glass with no damage other than some shallow chipping on the mouth. The unmarked metal cap appears old and could possibly be original. It is fastened with an old elastic loop Base: "B". Rarely found in this original full-embossed version.

An early grooved ring wax sealer quart in a deep cobalt blue color. Embossed on the base: "F.C.G.Co" (for the Falls City Glass Co of Louisville, KY). Sparkling condition with no damage or stains. The mouth is perfect, with one smooth undulation that occurred in the making. The jar is about as attic mint as they come. A fine example in a gorgeous color.

An aqua quart stopper-style jar that is strongly embossed: "Wm L. HALLER CARLISLE PA". Nice glass character that displays a good whittled effect and strongly raised lettering. Sparkling condition with no damage or stains. Applied ring collar mouth and a smooth base. Retains the very scarce, correct, original, large size 2-5/8" Willoughby cast iron stopple with all lettering good and clear. The bottom side has the original sheet iron covering that had some rust and was painted brown as shown. The stopple still retains the original sealing gasket in good shape and a perfect fit to the mouth of the jar. A fine example with rare correct stopper.

An aqua half gallon embossed on the front: "WHITNEY". Shiny glass throughout with no damage or stains. Normal minor flaking of the ground rim edge. Correct original glass lid with 1866 patent date, which is fastened to the mouth of the jar with a cylindrical zinc band. As with all examples of the jar, it is difficult to say whether the band is original, or re-made from an old standard band with the flange removed. Base: "WHITNEY GLASS WORKS GLASSBORO, NJ". A great looking example of this very scarce early jar.

An early free-blown aqua half gallon with a heavy applied groove ring wax sealer mouth finish, and a pushed-in open pontil scarred base. Shiny glass and blown delicately thin. No damage with the exception of two faint dings in the side (one shown). The jar measures 7-3/4 inches tall and 5-1/8 inches in base diameter. A rare form and a beautiful example. Pittsburgh Glass manufacturing district, circa 1845-1855.
