An aqua pint embossed in an arch of block lettering "BUCKEYE 1". Strong and sharp embossing and shiny glass without damage. A dug jar that was professionally cleaned to restore the original luster. No damage or stains, except for some flaking off the ground mouth. Two open bubbles on the interior. Correct original glass lid with 1862 patent date is in fine shape with no damage (one shallow unfilled spot on the bottom edge is from the making). Correct style replica metal clamp. Base: unmarked. An extremely rare pint, with only 3-4 examples known. This is the first specimen that we've ever been privileged to offer for sale.

The embossing in uncharacteristically strong and the jar displays a good whittled effect. Shiny glass without damage, except for flaking off the ground mouth. Comes with an excellent correct lettered zinc cap. There are no open bubbles, only a thin looped string of glass on the inside surface of the neck in back. Base: "43". A fantastic looking old jar.
