A medium amber quart embossed "THE LEADER" with extremely crude glass character. The jar is filled with small bubbles from top to bottom. This is an extremely rare feature for this series, which was normally known for smooth and uniform-looking jars. This quart is a major exception. Comes with the correct original glass lid and original 2-piece iron clamp assembly. The jar has a tiny defect, just above the "H" with a small bubble that broke and caused a tiny pinhole in the jar. Start Date: 12/07/2009End Date: 12/17/2009
Buyer: stenberg54
Price: $100.00
A light purple shoulder seal pint embossed: "MASON'S (arched) FRUIT JAR". Shiny glass with a few flaws. There are some tiny dings embedded in the glass including the slightly larger one shown in the base heel area. I believe these are a result of the manufacturing process rather than damage from use. There is a thin chip on the top sealing ledge, and normal flaking off the ground mouth. None of these are noticeable unless you pick the jar up and look it over closely. Good strong embossing. Base: "1". Redbook listing #1666, an extremely rare pint.
