This quart embossed "ATLAS STRONG SHOULDER MASON" comes in a beautiful and unusual color that has been called "Blackish Teal". Sparkling glass throughout with no damage or stains. Base: "1".

A shoulder seal pint embossed "MASONS PATENT NOV 30TH 1858" in a good strong yellow green. Sharp and strong embossing as well as shiny glass without damage. Excellent ground mouth with very little nicking. Base: "26". A rare color to find in the straight-sided 1858 pint series.

An aqua midget pint embossed on the front: "MASONS PATENT NOV 30TH 1858" and on the reverse with a Hero Cross figure. Shiny glass without damage other than flaking of the ground mouth. A dug jar that has been tumbled at some time in the past to restore it's luster. The interesting feature of this jar is that the mold it was blown in was later re-cut and used to blow the regular-mouth jar in listing #1129. Base: "PAT NOV 26 67" encircling a "47".

An extremely scarce regular mouth size version, embossed on the front: "MASONS PATENT NOV 30th 1858" and on the reverse with a Hero Cross figure. The mold was originally a small-mouth midget mold, and was later recut to make regular mouth size jars. The lettering from the original midget mold was all retained except for MASONS, which was cut deeper, and in a slightly different style. Base: "PAT NOV 26 67" encircling a "47". See listing #1128.

An amber quart embossed on the front with a Hero Cross figure above "MASONS PATENT NOV 30TH 1858". On the reverse side is a faintly-visible large ghosted circle, presumably from the removal of the earlier HGW logo. Sharp embossing and shiny glass without damage. Normal flaking of the ground mouth. Correct Hero zinc cap with one rough spot on the lower edge. Base: "PAT NOV 26 67" encircling a "277".

A clear pint with a light purple tint, embossed: "THE HOWE JAR SCRANTON PA". Sparkling condition with no damage or stains. Excellent ground mouth with very little nicking. Correct original matching light SCA glass lid and original wire clamp with coiled ends that fit into sockets molded into the neck of the jar. The glass lid has a tiny ding on the inner edge. Base: "2". A sharp example in a scarce pint size.

This amber quart is the scarce TALL or "TYPE 1" version and comes in a lovely medium amber color. Sharp embossing and sparkling glass which displays a nice light whittled effect. No damage or stains other than normal roughness of the ground mouth. Base: "C394". A great looking colored CFJ Mason.

A steel blue tinted pint embossed with a full Crown figure and "CORONET" which is superimposed over a peened-out "CROWN". Shiny glass with a smooth lip finish and no damage or stains. The glass insert has an embossed Crown. Base: unmarked.

A bright yellow olive colored quart shoulder seal jar embossed in very strongly raised lettering: "MASONS LGCo PATENT NOV 30TH 1858". Shiny glass with a good strong whittled effect all over. No damage or stains including a perfect ground mouth. Comes with an old lettered zinc cap. Base: "1". A gorgeous example of this scarce monogrammed Mason that is rarely found in this color.

A deep aqua half gallon embossed: "ROYAL". All original including the clear unmarked glass insert lid and the original tapered zinc band with two soldered wrench lugs. Shiny glass without damage. The thick ground mouth has one shallow chip. Base: a backwards-embossed "11".

A medium amber quart embossed "THE LEADER" with extremely crude glass character. The jar is filled with small bubbles from top to bottom. This is an extremely rare feature for this series, which was normally known for smooth and uniform-looking jars. This quart is a major exception. Comes with the correct original glass lid and original 2-piece iron clamp assembly. The jar has a tiny defect, just above the "H" with a small bubble that broke and caused a tiny pinhole in the jar. With all the bubbled character in the jar, it is really not noticeable. A fantastic piece of early Indiana glass that would look great in a window display. Base: "30"

A rich Citron colored half gallon embossed: "MASONS PATENT NOV 30TH 1858" and on the base: "PAT NOV 26 67" encircling a "248". Shiny glass displays a nice light whittled effect as well as bubbly character. Good condition with no damage or stains. The ground mouth has flaking all around the edges. Comes with a good correct Hero zinc cap.

A light aqua tinted midget pint with an embossed pictorial of a beaver chewing a log and "BEAVER". The lettering is noticeably stronger than the pictorial embossing. Shiny glass without damage or stains. Unmarked glass insert lid has a small edge chip. The zinc band has a tight split but is solid and tightens perfectly. Base: "1".

A quart size GLOBE jar in a good dark amber color. Sparkling glass without damage or stains, other than the normal edge flaking of the ground mouth. Comes with a very dark amber matching correct glass lid and the original 3-piece iron clamp assembly. Base: "16".

A rare and highly appealing colored 1858 jar.

A grayish apple green colored midget pint embossed: "MASONS CFJCO PATENT NOV 30TH 1858". Extremely strong embossing and displays a nice overall whittled effect. Shiny glass without damage. Has one shallow chip on the ground mouth. Good correct CFJCo zinc cap. Base: "J149".

A bright orange-amber quart GLOBE. All original including the matching glass lid with 1886 patent date, and the original 3-piece iron clamp assembly. Shiny glass without damage. Has a big surface bubble on the front (not a broken bubble, but rather one that materialized right at the surface while the jar was blown). Excellent ground mouth with very little nicking. Base: "42".

A quart shoulder seal jar embossed: "MASONS CFJCo PATENT NOV 30TH 1858" which comes in a rich yellow color with a slight olive tone. May be the closest to a true yellow that we've seen in a quart CFJ. Shiny glass throughout with no damage or stains. Normal minor flaking of the ground mouth. Comes with a good CFJCo zinc cap. Base: "G216"

An aqua quart shoulder seal jar embossed: "MASONS III PATENT NOV 30th 1858". Shiny clean glass throughout with no damage or stains. The ground mouth has the usual edge flaking. Comes with a good CFJCo zinc cap. Base: unmarked. A scarce early 1858 jar.

An amber half gallon embossed: "MASONS CFJCo PATENT NOV 30TH 1858". Shiny glass that displays a slight whittled effect, and is free of damage or stains. The ground mouth has some shallow chipping. Base: "G77". Very scarce in half gallon size and this one is a fine example.

A midget pint embossed: "MASONS PATENT NOV 30TH 1858". Good distinctive color that I would call Sky Blue. It falls just short of cornflower blue, but the thick base really accentuates the appealing Sky Blue color. Sparkling condition with no damage or stains. Normal minor flaking of the ground mouth. Comes with a good snowflake style zinc cap. Base: "4"

A rich, strong olive yellow colored half gallon embossed: "MASONS PATENT NOV 30TH 1858" and on the base: "WCD 64". Sparkling glass displays a nice light whittled effect. Good strong embossing and no damage or stains. The ground mouth has edge flaking. A great looking colored Mason.

A light purple shoulder seal pint embossed: "MASON'S  (arched) FRUIT JAR". Shiny glass with a few flaws. There are some tiny dings embedded in the glass including the slightly larger one shown in the base heel area. I believe these are a result of the manufacturing process rather than damage from use. There is a thin chip on the top sealing ledge, and normal flaking off the ground mouth. None of these are noticeable unless you pick the jar up and look it over closely. Good strong embossing. Base: "1". Redbook listing #1666, an extremely rare pint.
