An unmarked aqua ground-lip quart with the correct original drop-on zinc cap with impressed 1867 patent date lettering and fancy 5-pointed star figure as shown. Replaced rubber gasket. This jar has very rarely been found with the original cap. This is also the correct cap for the "STAR" series of jars, RB 2721/2722. Nice condition with shiny glass and no damage other than minor nicking of the ground mouth. Base: a single raised dot.

A rare clear quart embossed with a pictorial figure of a fruit jar which itself is embossed: "KNOWLTON PATENT MAY 1903 TRADE MARK" and further encircled by: "MANSFIELD GLASS WORKS SOLE MFRS". A highly appealing jar that has very rarely turned up for sale. Has a smile-shaped crack on the neck in back, but this will never be seen on display. Correct glass insert, which has been secured with a replaced screw band. Appears to have been used for home canning with this arrangement. Shiny glass is chock full of tiny seed bubbles. Base: unmarked.

A blue-ish aqua half gallon that is strongly embossed: "L&W's XL". Smooth unmarked base and an applied ring collar mouth. Correct original glass lid with dual ramps and very scarce correct original iron wire clamp. The jar is in fine shape with sparkling glass and no damage or stains. The glass lid itself is rough with chips and dings, especially on the bottom of the lid. However, the lids are not particularly difficult to find. A great looking early jar.

Along the left mold seam is a spot where another jar was stuck to this jar while the glass was still hot, and later snapped free during the manufacturing. Smooth mouth finish with minor nicking. Comes with a light aqua unmarked glass insert and a good zinc band. Base: unmarked.
